Coaching & Consulting

A bespoke program suited to the needs of your event. This can include any or all of the following:

  • 1:1 Coaching for each speaker virtually.

  • 1:1 Coaching for each speaker on site.

  • Access for all speakers to a robust hub of online lessons and tools.

  • “On Call” backstage during event to troubleshoot or work last minute with speakers.

  • Pre-event consult on order of events, “run of show,” planning the participants’ experience of the day, etc.

  • Venue walk-through to identify issues in lighting, sound, or stage design and consult on how best to work in this unique setting.

  • “On Call” with event planners to trouble shoot tech, flow, or front of house / audience issues.

  • Public Speaking Workshop or Plenary Talk.

  • Post-event debrief.

Financial Commitment

Conferences: $10,000 + Travel & Housing Reimbursement
This fee is based on a 2-day conference including 20 hours of 1:1 coaching. Additional hours can be negotiated above this base rate.

I worked my first conference in 2003. And I was hooked.

Traveling to Milwaukee that year with the team running a national conference, I discovered a perfect combination of my skills as a coach, director, and producer. I loved the early mornings, late nights, and the intensity of the event days.

Since then, I’ve supported conferences in health care and medicine, motivational speaking, arts & culture, and more. It doesn’t matter what subject the speaker is talking about, I’m highly skilled at coaching people no matter their background. Language is one of my superpowers.

What makes me so good at this? I combine my skills as a public speaking coach working 1:1 with presenters with my 20+ years as a producer and director of live theater and events. The rhythm of the day, the stress of “opening the house,” the things that inevitably get ignored but become the most important problems to solve (I’m looking at you, microphone feedback and loud catering staff). I have an eye for the tiniest details and the big picture at the same time.
